How to update an advanced cash deposit taken from the guest?

The cash deposit option allows you to take a security amount in advance from the guest and which you will adjust with the total billed amount later during the final billing.


To update an advanced cash deposit taken from the guest, follow the below-mentioned steps.


Step 1: Log in to your dashboard with your existing credentials. Select the reservation calendar on the top left of the page.




You will be redirected to the page given below.



Step 2: Click on the booking for which you want to update the cash deposit. For example, here I am selecting the booking for Charlie. 



Once you click on it, a sidebar will appear with all the booking information, as shown below.



Step 3: Click on “view folio” from this sidebar. 



You will be redirected to the page from where you will be able to send the payment link. 


Step 4: Click on the “settle dues” option situated at the bottom of the folio summary box. 



Once you click that, a list of payment options will appear in form of a list. Refer to the screenshot below.



Step 5: Click on the “cash deposit” option from the list. A dialog box will appear as shown below.



Step 6: Enter the amount of cash deposited and click on submit. Once done, the amount will be updated in the booking folio.
