How to configure custom Tax Category ?

By following these steps, you can create a Custom Tax category that can be used to calculate and apply tax for per person, per night :

1. Navigate to the Dashboard by selecting "Go to Dashboard" at the designated property level.
2. On the Dashboard page, locate and click "More Apps," then choose "Property Configuration."
3. Once on the Property details page, find the "Taxes & Fee Categories" option and choose the "Custom tax category".
4. Click on "Add Custom tax category" if you need to create a new tax category, or locate the existing Tax you want to update.
5. In the pop-up window, specify the Tax category name.
6. Mention the Tax Value for this category. [Note - It's currently only on Absolute Value not the Percentage]
7. Specify the Room types which need the custom tax to be applied.
8. You can configure the Tax based on Per Person and Per Night by enabling the toggle.
9. You can also apply these tax slabs as default for Walk-in Bookings, Booking Engine, OTA bookings.
10. Once the Booking is created with the Custom Tax category the same would be visible on the Folio.
