How to create Tax category which can be applied to Room tax , Outelts & Addons ?

By following these steps, you can create a Tax category that can be used to calculate and apply tax in a variety of places: 

1. Navigate to the Dashboard by selecting "Go to Dashboard" at the designated property level.
2. On the Dashboard page, locate and click "More Apps," then choose "Property Configuration."
3. Once on the Property details page, find the "Taxes & Fee Categories" option under policies.
   Click on "Add New Tax Category" if you need to create a new tax category, or locate the existing Tax you want to update.
4. In the pop-up window, specify the Tax category name such as - SGST,CGST, Food Tax, Liquor Tax,etc.
5. Mention the Tax Percentage number for this category without % sign. For e.g18
   Save the Tax category.
   
   

To Update the Tax Category for the room type follow the steps.

1. Navigate to the Dashboard by selecting "Go to Dashboard" at the designated property level.
2. On the Dashboard page, locate and click "More Apps," then choose "Property Configuration."
3. Scroll down to view the Room categories in the system and click on edit room type.
4. Search for the Tax category option and enable the desired tax percentage for the room type.
   
    

Note : For Indian properties Default Tax slab will be enabled for the Room type, the above option can be used for the International properties.
