How to set room dependency?

Modified on Fri, 02 Feb 2024 at 10:03 AM

Room dependency involves the connection between different room categories, where the system adjusts rates based on predefined configurations. For example, if a Suite Room is dependent on the Premium room category with an increase of 1000, the system will automatically raise the price of the Suite room by an additional 1000 in alignment with the Premium category.

Follow the steps below to complete the process:

  1. Navigate to the specific property level by selecting "Go to Dashboard."
  2. On the Dashboard page, find and click on the "More Apps" section next to the property name.
  3. Select Property Configuration under the More apps section.
  4. Under property details, scroll down to the "Manage Room Type" section.
  5. The system will display a list of room categories created for your property level.
  6. Click on the three dots and select "Edit room" for the respective room category that needs to be dependent on another category.
  7. The system will pop up the room category configuration.
  8. Scroll down in the same tab and locate the "Derived Pricing - Room Category" column.
  9. Under "Derived Pricing - Room Category," choose the parent room on which the room category should be dependent. Specify the dependency as "Yes" and define the price configuration to increase/decrease the rates based on INR or percentage.
  10. Once configured, click on "Save Room Type."

Note: After configuring the above settings, the system will automatically update the prices for the child room when you perform rate updates for the parent room.
