There are times when there is a huge rush, and you want to block a room for maintenance, cleaning, and other purposes.  In such a scenario, you can block the particular room that you want, and it won't be available for booking from your site or from any OTA. You can also unblock it anytime you want. To block a room follow the below-mentioned steps.

Step 1: Log in to your dashboard, with your existing ID and password.

Step 2: Click on the hotel for which you want to update and rates and inventories. For example, here I am selecting the first property.

Once you click on this, you will be redirected to this page as shown below.

Step 3: From the top left side of the page, click on the first option from the right.

Clicking on the icon will redirect you to the page as shown below.

Step 4: Click on the three-dot icon from the right side of the page.

Once you click on that, a dropdown menu will appear as shown below.

Step 5: Select the bulk operations option from here.

Once you click on that, a sidebar will appear as shown below.

Step 6: Select the “action type” from the drop-down list. Click on the block room option available in the list.

Step 7: Next, select the room types dropdown. Once you select the room type from the dropdown, you will get the option to select the room ID. Refer to the screenshot below.

Step 8: Now click on the room IDs that you want to block. You can choose one or multiple rooms as per your preference.

Step 9: Select the date range for which you want to block the room and enter the reason for blocking the room. For example "maintenance".

Step 10: Once done, click on the "block room" button.

Step 11: You will receive a confirmation message pop up on the screen. Click on confirm, if you want to confirm the blocking. Refer to the screenshot below.

That's it. The selected rooms will be blocked and won't be available for booking.
